Before boarding
Send the flight number, arrival date and hotel or apartment address in one message. For a flight landing after midnight, check that the arrival date is the following calendar day. Use the arrival date when requesting pickup. If your accommodation uses a different entrance or a key collection point, share that information too.
The airport meeting
Confirm the terminal and exact meeting point with the driver before departure. Waiting is free, including the time needed to collect luggage. Keep the driver informed if the airline changes your flight. Save the phone number and accommodation address offline in case your mobile connection is not ready immediately after landing.
Understand the night price
The airport transfer page shows the fare for each car and direction. Pickups between 00:00 and 06:00 have the published night supplement, displayed by the calculator. Waiting and stops along the journey are included; cancellation is free. Ask for the total with your exact destination before confirming, especially for hotels outside Baku.
Check your room arrival arrangements
An airport pickup and a hotel reservation are separate arrangements. Tell your accommodation when you expect to reach it and confirm access for an overnight arrival. If you have booked a room from the next afternoon, do not assume it will be available when you land early in the morning. Carry the accommodation’s own contact details as well as the driver’s.
Choose a transfer or public transport
A private transfer takes your party to the agreed address. Public transport can suit a traveller who is comfortable reaching their accommodation from the bus stop with luggage. The airport publishes Aeroexpress information; check its current service details before deciding. For a family, a bulky suitcase or an apartment with difficult access, discuss door-to-door pickup needs in advance.
Keep the first day realistic
After a late arrival, allow time to rest before starting a long regional drive. If you want to travel directly from the airport to Gabala or Shahdag, request that specific route rather than the airport-to-Baku city fare. Send your luggage and child-seat requirements with the first message so they can be confirmed together.
If the driver cannot immediately reach you
Agree a meeting point and contact method before departure, then save the instructions offline. After landing, first complete arrival procedures and baggage collection. If you can send a message, say when you are ready rather than guessing while still in a queue. A precise location or entrance description helps more than a general message saying that you are outside.
Booking the next morning separately
A late airport transfer and a city day the next morning are separate parts of the plan. Tell the driver whether you want only hotel drop-off or another pickup after resting. Avoid treating an overnight arrival as the start of a full sightseeing day. You can discuss a later city pickup, a shorter time package or a regional journey on another date when sending the initial request.
