Planning notes
- Driving time and time spent visiting are different. Confirm the estimate for each hotel-to-hotel leg; meals, queues and stops add to it.
- Hotels, admission, food and guide services are separate. A late arrival or early departure shortens the usable plan.
Day one: arrive and settle in
Arrange the airport transfer to your actual accommodation address. Leave room for baggage collection and check-in. If arrival is late, keep the evening simple; a nearby walk or meal is easier to adjust than a timed excursion.
Day two: choose a regional journey
Choose Gobustan for the rock-art reserve and an optional mud-volcano visit, or Gabala for Nohur Lake and Tufandag. The direct Baku–Gabala drive normally takes 3–3.5 hours each way before visits, meals and stops, so it needs a full day. Agree one main outing and its return time. Mud-volcano access and mountain activities depend on the conditions and operations for your date.
Day three: Baku and departure
Use available time for Baku, luggage collection and the airport transfer. Work backwards from your airline’s required airport arrival time and leave margin for city traffic. Send all three days together for a quote; do not multiply a one-way fare to estimate vehicle availability across the whole visit.
Adapt the plan to the flight, not the calendar
If you arrive late on the first day and depart early on the third, you have one main sightseeing day. Choose the part of Azerbaijan that matters most to you and keep the other time for settling in and airport travel. A three-day label should not create pressure to fit three full-day excursions into a short stay. Send both flight times when requesting your route.
Keep Baku as the base for this version
The outline returns to the same Baku accommodation after the regional outing. A Gabala or Sheki overnight needs a different sequence and changes the starting point of the final airport journey. If a regional hotel stay is your priority, compare a longer route or remove part of the Baku programme before confirming transport and accommodation separately.
Prepare a compact request
List your arrival flight, departure flight, hotel and one essential outing. Add passenger numbers, children’s ages and suitcase sizes. Mark extra visits as optional so the driver knows what to preserve if timing changes. Free waiting and stops are included in the confirmed journey; food, admission and accommodation remain separate. Keep the departure day simple enough to meet the airline’s required airport arrival time.
